How to install Cartoon HD on XBMC (Any platform, Linux, Windows, MAC, Android)

cartoonHD_TnJSome say, Cartoon HD has been removed from XBMC. As far I know, the Cartoon HD has been removed from iTunes, but the XBMC Addon still works. Although, SuperRepo has already removed it for god knows why.

This is how you should get your Cartoon HD.

  1. Go to the Settings>File Manager>Add source.
  2. Then type Xfinity as the name and http://xfinity.xunitytalk.com as the url and click OK.
  3. Then go back and go to Settings>Add-ons&>Install from Zip File>Xfinity and click on XunityTalk_Repository.zip. Wait a few seconds until a pop up shows that it is added.
  4. Then go back to Settings>Add-ons>.XunityTalk Repository (make sure it is “enabled”). If not restart XBMC and follow from step 1 again.
  5. Inside .XunityTalk Repository, go to Video Add-ons and select Cartoon HD and click Install. Wait for a few seconds until a pop up shows that add-on is enabled.

Done.
To enjoy, go to the Home screen>Videos>Video Add-ons>Cartoon HD.

Keep any eye on http://xunitytalk-repository.googlecode.com/svn/addons/ as long as the “plugin.video.cartoonhd/” is there, xfinity didnt remove it. As many say, the source site is down, it might be taken down anytime.

  1. Just done this – but doing step 5, all the add-ons are marked as “broken” and nothing can be installed…

    • Just checked it now, and everything is working.
Reinstall the repository, may be it wasn’t downloaded properly. Be patient until the popup shows that Addon added correctly.

  2. Thanks dude, but I just uninstalled and reinstalled it, and everything is still showing as broken. This is on an Apple TV (1st Gen) running XBMC Eden, so maybe it just doesn’t work on this platform, I dunno….

    • Dude, i just checked, mine is working on iPad2 ios 5.0, windows 7, linux mint 16 x64 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. All are running XBMC Gotham.

May be the problem is with your XBMC version, i am not sure though. Did you consider upgrading your XBMC to the latest version (Gotham)?

    • Not as an android app.
But it works fine in XBMC. So what you can do is to install XBMC on your android first. Then install Cartoon HD addon inside XBMC. 😉
