How to rename your saved places (starred places) on Google maps

A Quick Tip
How to rename your starred places on Google maps
Previously it could be done it normally, but now you that option is not there anymore. What you have to do is to go to Google Bookmarks (https://www.google.com/bookmarks/) and edit it from there.

This feature comes handy when you try to save an unnamed place or try to save an address/coordinate as something like the “Batcave”.

  3. Agree, renaming saved places in Bookmarks does NOT rename them in Google Maps, you get a star with the coordinates apearing in a pop up box. Google really have f$%ked this one up in new maps.

  4. Thanks you! This really helped me out.
Google really sucks. That has to be the most unintuitive way they could possibly do it!
Once I clicked the link to bookmarks, I found that there are hundreds of places I marked, probably several are duplicates.
